Ali Cameron-Daw
Ali Cameron-Daw has been adopted as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the Wrekin seat.
Ali became an active member of the party in the 1980's whilst working in the City of London and realising how under-represented women are, both in business and politics.
Currently based in Bournemouth, Ali plans to move to our locality upon election. She says "I feel strongly that all MPs SHOULD live in the area they are elected to represent....otherwise...how much integrity is being employed?"
Ali has previously been a LibDem activist in Chichester and has also played an active part in the local community as chair of Trustees for a local cancer charity, Chair of Governors for Chichester High School for Boys, and a Governor at Chichester FE College.
Ali has worked as a business and communication coach/trainer, and designed and ran training programmes for the Local Government Association.
Ali will work hard for the constituents and local issues if elected.
Commenting on the adoption, Chair of Wrekin & Telford LibDems Irene Evans said:
"As a high profile businesswoman Alyson has helped transform and develop many of the country's top performing companies.
"She is in high demand for her expertise, recognised by some of the most powerful players in the financial and technology markets.
"With her drive and expertise we are delighted that Alyson is coming to fight for the Liberal Democrats in the Wrekin.
"We are sure she will be a dynamic campaigner, bringing a fresh face to politics in Shropshire and someone who will work tirelessly to bring positive change for local residents."
