Cllr Karen Blundell was elected as the new Mayor of Telford on 22 May 2009 at the
Annual Council Meeting and Mayor Making Ceremony. Karen has lived in the
Borough for most of her life where she works part-time as a Civil Servant. She is
married with three children, all of school age and has been a Telford & Wrekin Borough Councillor,
representing Apley Castle since 2003.
